When I started as a Fitness Coach over 13 years ago (đŸ˜±), I knew how to get results but struggled to explain how and why it worked. In this post, I’m pulling back the curtain to share my SMART framework. It’s something I use with every single client, whether they’re looking to improve their fitness, weight loss, age reversal, or just better health.

What’s different about my SMART framework? Well, this isn’t your typical “Specific, Measurable, Achievable” yada yada we’ve all heard before. Nope, I’ve put my own spin on it. So, buckle up because this framework is going to show you not only how I help clients transform their lives but also how I stay on track with my own fitness journey.

S is for Sexy

In my world, the “S” stands for sexy. Now, I know that word can mean a million different things to a million different people, but that’s the beauty of it.

Sexy could be about the way you look, how strong you feel, or even how youthful you act.

When you feel sexy, you feel powerful: it’s like a supercharged confidence boost that makes you feel like you can take over the world. And trust me, when you get into that mindset, there’s no stopping you.

What’s sexy to you might not be what’s sexy to someone else.

Some people feel their best when they’re toned and lean, others feel most powerful with some curves, and some feel on top of the world when they’re running up a wall like a ninja.

It’s completely individualized, and once we tap into your version of sexy, that’s what we’re going after. And what difference that makes to my clients’ ability and willingness to stick it out for the long term!

M is for Mindset

I know, I know, everyone talks about mindset, and it’s probably the last thing you want to hear more about. But let’s be real: mindset is everything. The way you think dramatically affects the kind of results you get. This is where the power of belief and the placebo effect come into play. When you truly believe that the goals you’ve set are not only achievable, but that they’re happening right now, your body and mind align to make it a reality.

Your mindset is the foundation of everything you’re trying to achieve. If you don’t believe in yourself and in your ability to succeed, no amount of reps, miles, or salads is going to get you where you want to go. So yeah, when you work with me you’re going to hear about mindset… a lot!

A is for Amaze Yourself

There is nothing better than that moment when a client comes to me and says, “I can’t believe I did that!” And it happens all the time. It never gets old. That moment of shock and awe when they’ve done something they thought was impossible for them? Priceless.

The truth is, I knew they could do it all along, but sometimes they just couldn’t see it. It happens to me all the time when I practice Parkour: my coaches and my fellow students know what I am capable of long before I see it. Doing a lot of strength and conditioning has helped me bridge that gap and become comfortable with my power as an athlete, but I still get the occasional wobble.

The key here is to stay open to the possibility of amazement. When you commit to your goals and really put in the effort, the things you can achieve will blow your mind. Keep that sense of wonder alive, and the results will follow.

R is for Rejuvenate

Whether age reversal is your main goal or just a nice side benefit, rejuvenation is always part of my SMART process. The moment you start fueling your body with the right nutrients, optimizing your fitness, and taking care of your overall health, your body begins to repair itself. It’s like giving your body a maintenance overhaul: it starts fixing things you didn’t even know were broken.

And you’ll notice it. You’ll get to a point where you’re feeling so good that you’ll wonder how you ever lived feeling as bad as you did before. That’s the power of rejuvenation. It’s not just about looking younger, it’s about feeling like you’ve hit the reset button on life.

No, I’m not chasing some Peter Pan fantasy of eternal youth or dreaming of immortality. I know that aging is the root cause of many illnesses, which is why I focus on slowing down the process to the best of my abilities. My goal is to maintain my independence and stay free from ailments for as long as possible so I can enjoy life, not spend it queuing at the chemists’ for prescriptions. And I want you to experience the same.

T is for Three-Dimensional

Transformation isn’t just about hitting the gym or cleaning up your diet. It’s about creating a three-dimensional lifestyle that supports the mind, body, and everything in between. It’s about learning how to manage all aspects of your life: your mindset, your physical health, and your habits to create something sustainable.

When you focus on these three areas, your mind, your body, and your lifestyle, you’re setting yourself up for long-term success. You don’t just want to look good; you want to feel vibrant, energized, and in control of your life.

It’s about dealing with challenges from a place of strength instead of getting pulled down into a pit of stress or fear. Because let’s face it, life will throw you curveballs, but with this approach, you’ll be in a much better position to handle whatever comes your way.
