Do you remember what you said you were going to do earlier this year on January 1st?

I know, I know. Through the hustle and bustle of the holidays, then Valentine’s Day, then Ash Wednesday and so on, it’s so easy to put off our self-care, exercise, and good nutrition until that magical moment when everything changes and you have all the time in the world to focus on your health and fitness – the (next) New Year. ?

Just joking. ?

But no matter how many years people spend repeating the process, we just can’t seem to wrap our heads around how to make time NOW for those changes we so desperately want.

What I can tell you with certainty is that the majority of people who swore in the New Year they were going to focus on their health and fitness, is that they’ve already fallen back into old habits and patterns.

I know it’s only March but, sadly, that’s the truth. And what’s worse is that Spring and Summer will be here before you know it and you’ll have nothing to show for it!

Believe me: if you’re still in the game of working towards that resolution you made a few months ago, you’re the exception rather than the rule! ?

And I absolutely commend you for that!

But if you just didn’t find that inspiration to get started on your fitness journey or the fortitude to stick with it…

If you kept saying “tomorrow” or “Monday” but never “this Monday” therefore never getting off the ground…

If you are disappointed in yourself because you are not doing what you swore you’d do…

Let me help you give your fitness plans a reboot with a few quick tips:

5 tips to give your fitness plans a reboot

1. Set a goal, don’t make a wish

This is the first hurdle that most people stumble at. They have a dream but not a goal. So the dream stays in their head and never takes on a tangible form.

How do you go round it?

You grab some paper and you write down what you want to achieve and then you set a date.

That’s it. You now have a goal.

Alternatively, if you are brave, you can post your intentions on social media and ask your audience (yes, the whole lot) to hold you accountable.

2. Visualise the end result

It doesn’t matter how outrageous your goal seems to be right now, just keep on visualising yourself after you have achieved it and feel how… eerrr… you are going to feel in that moment.

How has your life changed on the way towards your goal? What new doors are opening to you because you stuck it out to the end?

Enjoy the wave of positivity.

3. Reverse engineer your goal

This is the most overlooked part of goal setting as most people plan forwards instead of backwards. The latter gives you a better perspective on your journey and forces you to really think about the enormity of what you are setting into motion.

Believe me, once you become good at this game you’ll never plan anything in the old way. You’ll always reverse engineer your goals.

4. Plan your fitness reboot

Take each milestone you identified in step 3 and break it down into monthly, then weekly, then daily actions that you can take to move forwards towards your goal.

The smaller the steps the easier will be to gain the initial momentum to keep you going through thick and thin.

5. Take the first step

This is where 99% of people fail: they come up with the most amazing plan but never take the first step to set it in motion.

So they blame everything and everyone for their failure, except the fact that they never took action.

Don’t be that person.

Make the first step as easy as possible and then go for it.

Still not sure you can do it? This is how I can REALLY help you give your fitness plans a reboot
